TheVernorsStore.com is operated by FoodHome.com, Inc., 1491 W. 14 Mile Rd., Madison Heights, MI 48071 (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or buy from TheVernorsStore.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Order information: your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, phone number, the items you buy, and any order or gift note you write.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by Authorize.net and PayPal payments by PayPal. Your full card number is sent directly to the payment processor; we do not store it on our website. We keep only the transaction reference and the card type and last digits that the processor returns.
- Account information: if you create an account, your login details and saved addresses.
- Guestbook and messages: anything you send us through the guestbook, contact form or email. Guestbook entries are reviewed before they are shown on the site.
- Technical information: cookies and similar data needed to run the shopping cart and checkout, keep you logged in, and protect our forms from spam (hCaptcha).
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders, including sending order confirmations and tracking numbers.
- To answer your questions and keep records required for accounting and tax purposes.
- To prevent fraud and keep the website secure.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us complete your order: our payment processors (Authorize.net, PayPal), our shipping software (ShipStation) and carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS), and the services that host our website and deliver our emails. Each receives only what it needs for that job. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Gift orders
If you choose a gift invoice, prices are left off the paper invoice in the box. If you check “Anonymous sender”, your name and address are left off the paper invoice. The recipient’s name and address are used only to deliver the order.
Your choices
You can review and update your account details under My Account, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us. We keep order records as long as needed for legal and accounting purposes.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
